I love it when my brides class up a wedding dress with an appropriate seasonal accessory. Sashes on wedding dresses are not uncommon. But I must say that I’ve never seen such a perfectly lovely and understated velvet sash.
There are many things I love about winter: scarves, coats, hats, boots, cashmere…OK all winter clothes, hot chocolate, hot toddies, stew. But one of my all time favorite things is how the light looks in the winter.
We shot this wedding last weekend. It was a beautiful day with lovely light, perfect winter accessories, a gorgeous ballroom, delicious food and a few surprises along the way. But most importantly, there was love. Lots and lots of love.
